Cousin who helped Philly cop-killer sentenced

PHILADELPHIA - December 7, 2009

Twenty-six-year-old Hakim Glover was sentenced to 12 months time served and additional 2 years probation.

He pleaded guilty in January 2008 to helping his cousin, John Lewis, flee to Miami following the murder of Officer Chuck Cassidy.

Lewis was sentenced to death last month for killing Cassidy after the officer walked in on a doughnut shop robbery on Halloween 2007.

Lewis was arrested five days later at a Miami homeless shelter.
