It happened just after 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of Hanover Avenue and Jasper Street.
Police say the victim, an 86-year-old woman, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem where she was later pronounced dead.
The exact details of the accident are not yet clear.
The driver did stop at the scene.
