It all started around 2:15 in the morning, when a police officer tried to pull over the DUI suspect.
Instead of stopping, the suspect gunned his motor and raced down the 6100 block of North 11th Street near West Spencer Street.
The car quickly went out of control and turned the street into what looked like a scene out of a demolition derby.
The driver's car smashed into several other cars on the block.
One man who was parking his vehicle at the time was hit and seriously injured.
Another person -- the suspect's passenger -- was also injured along with the suspect.
The injured police officer hurt his hand and wrist trying to help one of the victims.
The officer has been treated at Einstein Medical Center and released.
The three others remain in the same hospital with head, neck and back injuries.
The suspect in the case faces several charges.
