Many people there are having a tough time finding Christmas trees this season.
The trees have to be shipped from the mainland.
But many tree vendors cut back this year because they are worried about the economy.
It cost the sellers 20 bucks apiece to have the trees sent from stateside.
One tree vendor (Ipo Waiwaiole in Kailua) says he ran out Saturday.
In all, about a-third fewer trees have been delivered to Hawaii compared to years past.
