According to a notice on the Downingtown Area School District's website, the incident happened Thursday morning at a bus stop near a middle school student's home in Johnsontown.
The notice says the boy was approached by two men in a blue pick-up truck. They tried to lure the boy into riding with them.
Downingtown Borough Police were notified and began investigating.
The boy was not harmed and is safe at home.
Parents are asked to take appropriate precautions with their children.
Police continue to investigate.
