Fire broke out shortly before 5:00 p.m. at Mainland Medical Center located along the 1700 block of Zion Road. Arriving firefighters reported heavy fire and thick smoke billowing from the 50 by 150 foot structure.
At the peak of the blaze, three alarms were sounded.
The fire was diminished around 6:00 p.m., but was not yet deemed under control.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
