It happened on the 600 block of Summit Street in Upper Merion. Initial responders reported heavy fire in the single home. Additional crews from Norristown Fire Department were called in to assist.
The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes. There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
