The shooting happened on East Palmer Avenue in Morrisville around 10:30 p.m.
The 23-year-old victim was taken to Capital Health System Fuld division, but his condition has not been released.
Police towed a small red car from the scene as evidence.
Officers are now searching for witnesses.
