That's about $200,000 over the snow removal budget.
DelDOT spokesman James Westoff says the estimate includes labor costs and over-time, materials, the snow removal reimbursement program for subdivisions and payments to contractors.
Westoff says the department is ready to tackle any additional snowstorms and will spend whatever it costs to keep the roads safe.
Westoff says Transportation Secretary Carolann Wicks and the department's finance department will discuss which programs or projects will be impacted to supplement the costs of the snow removal.
