The fire happened in the first floor of the building at the intersection of 15th and Spring Garden in the Spring Garden section of Philadelphia.
It broke out just before 7:00 a.m.
Rescue crews say the fire was located in a first floor bar.
The three apartments above the shop were evacuated as a precaution.
The fire was quickly brought under control.
The cause remains under investigation.
