State lawmaker Tom Young is pushing a bill that would revoke driving privileges for those who skip class under the age of 18.
The freshman lawmaker says too many students are not graduating.
He calls it a short-term solution to the long-term problem.
Under the proposal parents could appeal for an exception like when a teen needs to drive to work.
