The shooting happened around 2:45 a.m. Thursday on the 1200 block of S. 21st Street.
A man sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and leg. Police rushed the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A second person was injured when they fell and hit their head on the sidewalk.
Police are looking for two men with automatic weapons who fled the scene.
