Hawthorne Mayor Larry Guidi is charged with stealing a commercial-sized food mixer from a school district.
Prosecutors say Guidi wanted to use the mixer to make dough to cook in his home pizza oven.
According to authorities, his honor was captured on security video taking the giant mixer and a cart.
Guidi has been mayor of Hawthorne for 17 years.
