It happened just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of North Edgewood Street.
Police say a 19-year-old male was shot in the face.
He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
He was pronounced dead at the time of arrival.
Police have made no arrests.
