The deadly gunfire rang out shortly after 9:30 p.m. at Germantown and Cumberland streets.
According to officials, a 35-year-old man was shot between 10 and 12 times.
The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There is no word on any arrests.
