The accident occurred at approximately 4:15 a.m. Thursday on the 200 block of Levering Street in Philadelphia's Manayunk section.
Police say the 20-year-old man was attempting to push the vehicle eastbound on Levering Street with his girlfriend behind the wheel when the accident happened.
Rescue crews were able to free the man and he was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center. He is listed in critical condition with crushing chest injuries.
There is no word on the man's identity at this time.
