Police hunting for two serial bank robbers

WILMINGTON, Del. - September 23, 2010

One suspect is described as a white man, 40-50 years old, about 6 feet tall with a large build and unshaven facial hair. He has been seen wearing blue jeans, white sneakers, and either a white or a black short sleeved t-shirt or a light colored button-up collared long sleeved shirt.

He has also been seen wearing a grey ponytail wig, a two-tone baseball cap, or a camouflage baseball cap.

He is wanted for the following bank robberies:

  • June 19, 2010 at 1:05 p.m. Citizen's Bank inside of the Acme Market, 146 Fox Hunt Drive, (Fox Run Shopping Center), Bear, DE
  • July 23, 2010 at 5:35 p.m. Citizen's Bank inside of the Acme Market, 146 Fox Hunt Drive, (Fox Run Shopping Center), Bear, DE
  • September 17, 2010 at 12:35 p.m. Citizen's Bank inside of the Acme Market, 146 Fox Hunt Drive, (Fox Run Shopping Center), Bear, DE
  • September 20, 2010 at 12:35 p.m. Citizen's Bank inside of the Acme Market, 1 University Plaza (University Plaza Shopping Center), Newark, DE

The other suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, about 25 to 30 years old, 5'8" to 5"10" tall, 150-170 pounds with a thin build. He has been seen with a mustache and thin beard, or a goatee.

He has been seen wearing blue jeans, tan boots, a black or tan baseball cap, and either a white or black t-shirt, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and either a pair of lime colored or brown sunglasses.

This man is wanted for the following bank robberies:

  • September 13, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Citizen's Bank inside of the Acme Market, 1308 Centerville Road, Prices Corner, Wilmington, DE
  • September 17, 2010 at 12:40 p.m. Wilmington Savings Fund Society (WSFS), 144 North DuPont Highway (Airport Plaza Shopping Center), New Castle, DE (investigated by New Castle City Police Department)
  • September 20, 2010 at 1:15 p.m. Wilmington Savings Fund Society (WSFS) 3202 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE

Both men have use the same method, police say: They approach the teller with a demand note, but do not display a weapon. No one has been hurt in the robberies.

Still, police say they do not believe that the suspects are working together and committed each of the robberies independent of each other.
