Witnesses told accident investigators that is was around 1:30 a.m. when they saw a late model silver Mustang driving at a high rate of speed on Erie Street between Kensington Avenue and M Street in the city's Juniata section.
A male was hanging out of the driver's window and soon fell off the car onto M Street and was critically injured.
The driver of the silver Mustang never slowed down and sped from the scene, leaving the unidentified male lying near the intersection of M and Erie Street.
Medics transported the victim to Temple University Hospital where he is being treated for multiple injuries.
