I'm sure you've seen the stories about dust mites and how they're everywhere in your home. Well, a little eucalyptus oil can help.
Combine five drops or so of the oil to a spray bottle of water. Swirl it around and then use it to spray mattresses, pillows and carpets.
Eucalyptus will kill the mites so that you cn vacuum the areas clean once the water has dried.
This same spray is also effective for killing germs on hard surfaces, like faucets, toilets and doorknobs. Just spray it on and let it dry naturally.
For an all purpose cleaner: mix ten drops of tea tree, eucalyptus, or rosemary oil and a cup of white vinegar into a gallon of hot water to clean bathroom and kitchen surfaces. It cleans and disinfects in one easy step.
