Family of Scott Sliwinski want answers

FRANKFORD - December 11, 2010

"He was a people pleaser. He did whatever he could do to please people. He was very loving. He was a hard worker," said Jeanne Connell.

On September 26th, 11:40pm, police found Scott and his brother Andrew lying on the roadway in the 4,800 block of Tackawanna Street in Frankford near the Whitehall Projects.

Both had been shot. Scott's passenger side door was still open. He was dead nearby. His brother Andrew, who had been driving, survived his wound.

Police believe there may have been some sort of confrontation, and they say there are witnesses, but so far no one has come forward.

"Our family has lost a son, a brother, an uncle, a godfather, a cousin and mainly a friend. I wouldn't want anyone to go through what our family is going through," said Connell.

If you know what happened, police need to hear from you. A $5,000 reward is being offered. Make that anonymous call to the Citizens Crime Commission at 215-546-tips.

"Come forward tell us what you know. Help us solve this crime. Let this family have some peace," says Susan Lawlor.

Family members say Scott's murder has become a nightmare for Andrew because he cannot remember much of what happened that night to help solve the case.

"Andrew feels responsible for his brother's death, and that's unfair. He shouldn't have to live with this for the rest of his life," said Lawlor.
