Camera problems cause backlogs at NJ MVC sites

TRENTON, N.J. - December 31, 2010

Officials say a problem with the Motor Vehicle Commission cameras in Trenton had caused a major backlog during the morning hours.

The cameras began functioning again shortly before 11:30 a.m., but many sites were still standing-room only as of early Friday afternoon. All the sites were due to close at 2 p.m., and it was not immediately known if the hours would be extended.

Specific details on the camera problem were not disclosed.
