The crash occurred at around 3:40 p.m. at Churchmans Road and Route 1 near the Christiana Mall.
Authorities say three people were injured and transported to Christiana Hospital.
One driver was trapped for about 20 minutes.
Churchmans Road westbound traffic was diverted from turning to Route 1.
Route 4 traffic was being diverted away from the Route 1 ramps while emergency crews removed the vehicles.
