His arm became stuck while working on a car in a repair shop along B & O Lane Saturday morning.
Nearby business owners heard his cries for help and called first responders.
It took crews approximately 30 minutes to free the mechanic's arm from the car's engine compartment.
He was taken to Christiana Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
