The shooting happened around 8:35 a.m. in the area of Pine Lane and West 13th Street.
The victim tells police that a suspect approached him from behind and opened fire.
He was found in the road suffering gunshot wounds to the back and leg.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, is listed in stable condition.
There have been no arrests.
