Three boaters have been rescued from a sinking recreational boat off the coast of southern New Jersey.

The owner of the 34-foot "Naughty Girl" notified the Coast Guard around 5:30 a.m. Monday that the boat had run aground near the Great Bay in Beach Haven and was taking on water. He said there were three people on board his boat.

A 25-foot response boat from Coast Guard Beach Haven soon arrived on scene and brought the three to a nearby marina. Meanwhile, a tow boat was bringing the damaged recreational boat back to shore.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
