Speaking of social media, follow your favorite retailers on Twitter and "Like" their Facebook pages for exclusive deals. For instance, through August 31st, Target is running a "1,000 Likes" promotion. Every Monday through Friday, the first 1,000 people "Like" a deal, get a mobile coupon for 50% off.

Office Depot is offering a free backpack and lunch tote with your $15 back to school purchase.

Need a computer? Buy a select laptop from Staples with your student ID or college acceptance letter - and you'll get a $100 Visa prepaid card! And Staples has a low price guarantee.

Apple is offering special student pricing through September 20th with up to $200 off a Macbook Pro. Plus, you'll get a free $100 Back to School Card to use at the App Store, iTunes, or iBookstore.

Buy a PC with Windows 7 from HP or Dell and get a free 4 gigabyte Xbox 360! To get the free Xbox, you do have to spend at least $609 at HP and $699 at Dell. Still, that's a pretty good deal considering the console is about $200 to buy.
