The discovery took place shortly after 3:00 p.m. at Montgomery Park off Taylor Drive.
Initial reports indicate the body to be that of 63-year-old missing veteran James Coghlan.
Coghlan disappeared last Friday.
The search group that discovered the body included a life-long friend of Coghlan's that traveled more than an hour daily in search of his friend.
While officials have not made a positive identification, all initial indicators are pointing to it likely being Coghlan.
