The National Weather Service out of Mount Holly, New Jersey issued the watch on Thursday afternoon, saying wintry weather is expected on Saturday into Saturday evening.
The areas affected include the Lehigh Valley, areas south of the Poconos, Berks County and Northwestern New Jersey.
The NWS said 4 to 6 inches of snow could be possible, with downed tree limbs and power lines possible.
SUNDAY: No matter what happens Saturday the second half of the weekend should feature lots of sunshine and temperatures staying on the cool side. The high is 51, which is roughly the game time temperature for the 4pm (or 5pm) Union play-off game at PPL Park in Chester against Houston. It will be in the mid 40s by the time the Eagles take the field Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field for their big showdown with the Cowboys. Both games will be dry.
MONDAY: This Halloween looks like a treat rather than a trick with partly sunny skies and a high of 57. The trick or treaters will need to dress warmly as they head out in the evening, but at least it will be dry. Winds should also be relative light.
TUESDAY: Another round of clouds is possible with a shower around. The high: 60. Stick with us on this, though, because the timing of this weak cloud-producer keeps changing!
WEDNESDAY: Assuming the latest long-range prognosis is correct, we turn back to partly sunny skies and dry conditions with a high of 57.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny skies look probable. The high: 59.
