It happened around 12:00 p.m. near the Atco station near Atlantic Avenue and Frank Walker Road.
No injuries were reported to the 120 people on board the train. Bus service was provided to get them to their destination while the train was stopped.
The man who was killed has not been identified.
There is no word on why he was on the tracks.
