An unidentified male was found Tuesday morning on Applewood Drive in South Whitehall Township.
An autopsy Wednesday revealed the man died of a gunshot wound and the coroner ruled his death a homicide.
The coroner is now trying to use dental records to identify the man, who was white, between 6'1 and 6'3 tall, and weighed between 160 and 165 pounds.
Police say he was in his mid 20s to early 30s with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a multi-colored plaid shirt when he was found.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious on Applewood Drive between 6:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday is asked to call police at 610-437-5252.
