The shooting happened around 8:55 p.m. on the 200 block of North Madison Street in New Castle County.
Officers were called and arrived to find 31-year-old Anderson Brown suffering gunshots wounds.
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are unsure what sparked the shooting and are still searching for the suspect.
