Infant, 2 adults seriously injured in NJ crash

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - November 13, 2011

The child's father, who was driving, sustained minor injuries.

Hamilton Township police say 19-year-old Lyssa Piwowski was holding her 8-month-old son when the crash occurred around 5 a.m. Sunday. She was trapped inside by the wreckage, while her son and his grandmother, 53-year-old Joyce Calderwood, were ejected from the SUV.

All three were later airlifted to a hospital, but further details on their conditions were not disclosed. The driver, 25-year-old Jonathan Calderwood, was treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities say no one in the SUV was wearing seat belts.
