Around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday the victim, a 61-year-old man, was struck on the 6300 block of North Broad Street.
Medics rushed the man to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was deemed a trauma alert.
Police are still unsure what sparked the accident.
An investigation continues.
