It happened about noon on Thursday in Bridgeville. Troopers say the man arrived home to find a vehicle in his driveway and saw two men leaving his home.
The man drove off, but the two burglars began chasing him in another car. Police say the driver fired two shots from a handgun at the victim, but he was not hit.
The suspects then drove off. The victim found that jewelry and other items had been taken from his home.
