It happened around 7:30 Saturday night in Wilmington.
Police say upon losing control, the driver hit a guard rail and crashed down an embankment.
The woman was taken to Christiana Hospital for what authorities call serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Part of I-95 was shut down after the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
