Penn State cuts ties with Paterno
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - December 10, 2011
The university will no longer license his name, likeness, or image.
Penn State said the decision was mutual.
The school says retailers can sell existing merchandise until supplies run out.
Paterno was fired last month in the aftermath of child sex abuse allegations against his former assistant Jerry Sandusky.
Paterno has not been charged with any crime.
