It happened at 5:45pm Friday in the 1300 block of Longshore Street.
Police say the suspects tried to rob a 22-year-old man, then stabbed him once in the stomach.
The victim was able to run to the Wawa convenience store at Castor and Tyson Avenues and get help. He was rushed to Aria Hospital Torresdale where he was undergoing surgery Friday evening.
Police say the four male suspects, believed to be in their late teens, fled the scene and remain at large.
