Cherry Hill Police Lt. Dale Matchett tells The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill 38-year-old William Powell was driving on Route 70 when his car smashed into Officer Bruce Erney's cruiser.
Matchett says the force of the crash pushed the trunk into the patrol car's backseat.
Erney was treated for moderate head, knee and back injuries.
