Man struck, killed by SEPTA train in Hatboro

HATBORO, Pa. - December 19, 2011

Spokeswoman Jerri Williams of SEPTA says the accident happened at about 2:30 p.m. Monday along the Warminster line in Montgomery County.

Williams says the 24-year-old man was wearing headphones and walking with his back to the oncoming train when he was struck and killed near the Hatboro station just south of the Pennsylvania Turnpike overhead bridge.

Service on the line was suspended while the coroner and police completed their investigation.
