Police say an arrest warrant has been issued after a man was shot and killed following a car crash in the Frankford section of Philadelphia early on New Year's Day.

The suspect is identified as 30-year-old Christopher Johnson from the 1300 block of 66th Avenue.

The shooting happened in the 4100 block of Orchard Street around 1:25 a.m. January 1st.

Investigators believe there was a car crash at another location and Johnson chased the victim, 48-year-old Gerald Market, to the Orchard Street location.

That was where Market, whose residence was also in the 4100 block of Orchard Street, was found with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Johnson is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 / 3335 or dial 911.
