'S' is for Savings

Teaching your children the value of a dollar can be really tough, but now there's a new tool that can help make saving fun and simple.

It's a new savings account offered by PNC just for kids. It includes a free interactive learning experience featuring financial tips from Sesame Street characters.

It helps kids learn to delay gratification and understand the concepts of spending, sharing, and saving money.

My favorite part of this program is the drag and drop feature.

Kids can move money into virtual jars which represent how they want to divide their money.

They can also designate money for specific things.

There is a $25 minimum to open the account.

Parents can transfer money from their own account using an auto save feature.
