Bank robbery in Northeast Philadelphia

Philadelphia police have released surveillance pictures of the man wanted for a bank robbery on Thursday afternoon in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened around 12:15 p.m. at the Citizens Bank at 7248Rising Sun Avenue.

Police say the man gave a teller a threatening demand note and obtained an undisclosed amount of cash.

He then fled south on Oxford Avenue.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male about 30 years old standing 5'5" tall. He had a thin to medium build, a full beard and a mustache. He was wearing sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and a black coat with an orange liner and a fur-trimmed hood.
