It happened at 2:00 p.m. in the 100 block of North Hermitage Street.
Officers arrived to find 22-year-old Irvin Jackson of Trenton lying in the street. He had been shot in the head.
Medics rushed Jackson to Capital Regional Medical Center at Fuld where he was pronounced dead.
So far there is no word on suspects or a possible motive in the case.
