1 injured in police-involved shooting in Delaware

One person is hospitalized after a police-involved shooting in New Castle, Delaware.

It began at 4:30 p.m. Thursday with the report of shots fired at the Arbor Place Townhomes in the 200 block of Parma Avenue.

As officers responded, police say one person fled the scene in a vehicle.

At some point, shots were fired by police. The car crashed into a parked car around the corner, in the 100 block of Memorial Drive.

One person was taken to Christiana Hospital.

There is no word on that person's condition.
