It was around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday when the company received a threat. In the interest of safety, employees were evacuated from the south side of the facility and local authorities were notified by the company.
Then around 10:30 a.m. employees were told that 1st shift operations on the south side of the plant would be suspended for the day. Regular operations are continuing elsewhere at the plant.
Second shift will resume as usual at 2:30 p.m. in the south side.
The south side of the plant is a manufacturing area of the company that makes military aircraft.
A spokesperson for Boeing would not say how the threat was received or disclose the nature of the threat.
An investigation into the threat is ongoing.
