Pay 6 Forward: Dorian in Cinnaminson, N.J.

CINNAMINSON, N.J. - OCTOBER 3, 2012

And most of them didn't even need a refresher on the rules about how they could get their hands on $600 from Pay 6 Forward:
*You can't keep it yourself
*You can't be a relative or someone you live with
*The money needs to be a friend or a neighbor or someone from a church group who is going through a particularly hard time.
*They have to be available RIGHT THEN for the surprise!

"Absolutely, absolutely! I watch Channel 6 all the time," Eileen Rullo of South Philadelphia told us. "I don't see this on any other station. They're not giving away money that's for sure."

But it was Eileen Rullo's son, Tony, who asked if he could give the money to a friend in need.

"A guy named Dorian Dungee," Tony Rullo of Pennsauken told us. "He just had his knee replaced. He's got three boys in Catholic school. They're struggling. His wife isn't working right now so he's struggling just to make ends meet. He could really use the money."

Dorian and Tony help watch each other's kids and they even coach all the kids' sports together. These long-time friends help each other out, but Tony has never been able give Dorian the tuition help he really needs for the boys. So we took off to the UPS warehouse where Dorian works.

Once we got there, Tony explained the whole thing.

"You came right to mind buddy. So guess what you just got 600 bucks?" Tony told his friend.

Even though times are tough for the family, Dorian is sending his three children to Catholic school.

"The area we live in, they're good schools but they're not the best," Dorian said. "My kids are pretty smart kids. They're all getting straight A's. They're all doing great. There's no way I'm going to take them out. I'll do anything to keep them in there."

We paid $600 forward to Tony who then paid the money along to his friend.

One of the sacrifices Dorian made, he came back to work even before he was fully healed from knee replacement surgery. But as he said, he'll do anything for his kids.
