Roughly 1.1M still without power in NJ

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - November 3, 2012

Utility crews have restored power to more than 1.5 million customers since the storm hit.

Public Service Electric & Gas says it could take until next week before service is restored to its remaining 607,000 customers.

Jersey Central Power & Light has 569,570 homes and businesses without electricity, while Atlantic City Electric is working to reconnect 17,600 customers.

Orange & Rockland reports about 40,000 outages in the northern counties it serves.

Speaking at a news conference Saturday Gov. Chris Christie said the state has posted revised power restoration plans it received from PSE&G, JCP&L and Atlantic City Electric. The plans show the status of restoration projections at the municipal level.
