The fire was reported at 12:04 p.m. at 714 South 2nd Street, near Pemberton Street.
Firefighters arrived to find light smoke coming from the rear of the house.
Crews had things under control within 15 minutes.
No one was injured.
Fire officials say the cause is under investigation.
