8 arrested in New Castle Co. burglary spree (PHOTOS)

WILMINGTON, Del. - November 20, 2012

Police say the suspects were responsible for more than a dozen break-ins in Wilmington, Claymont and Arden.

During these crimes jewelry, money and small electronics were stolen from the homes, police said.

County Detectives say they were able to recover a small amount of those items, most of which has been linked to the burglaries.

There will be a stolen property viewing on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Paul J. Sweeney Public Safety Building, 3601 North Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE.

Investigators will display the items in the first floor community conference room.

The break-ins took place at the following locations:

  • the 1500 block of Appletree Lane in the community of Ardentown
  • the unit block of Ruby Drive in the community of Ashbourne Hills
  • the 1700 block of River Road in the community of Bellevue Manor
  • the unit block of Cragmere Road in the community of Cragmere
  • the unit block of Sherbrooke Drive in the community of Hyde Park
  • the unit block of Indian Field Road in the community of Indianfield
  • the 2300 block of Jamaica Drive in the community of Kingsridge
  • the 200 block of North Road in the community of Lindamere
  • the 2200 block of Elmfield Road in the community of Northshire
  • the 1000 block of Cypress Avenue in the community of Ramblewood
  • the unit block of Riverside Drive in the community of Riverside Gardens
  • the 2600 block of Robino Drive in the community of Sherwood Park
  • the 2200 block of Patwynn Road in the community of Wynnwood

The suspects charged in these cases are:

Nicholas Dimarco, a 23 year old male who resides in the 700 block of Plumtree Lane in the community of Greentree, was charged with two counts of burglary in the second degree, two counts of attempted burglary in the second degree, two counts of felony theft and three counts of criminal mischief. He was arraigned and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $38,750 cash bail. 

Albert Dimarco, a 22 year old male who resides in the 700 block of Plumtree Lane in the community of Greentree, was charged with burglary in the second degree, two counts of attempted burglary in the second degree, felony theft and two counts of criminal mischief. He was arraigned and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $27,500 cash bail.

Ashley Sturgis, a 24 year old female who resides in the 400 block of Ohio Avenue in the community of Brookland Terrace, was charged with burglary in the second degree, two counts of attempted burglary in the second degree, felony theft, and two counts of criminal mischief. She was arraigned and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institute after failing to post $7,000 secured bail.  

Ronnie Vila, a 28 year old male who resides in the unit block of 4th Avenue in Claymont, DE, was charged with five counts of burglary in the second degree, three counts of felony theft, theft, five counts of conspiracy in the second degree, two counts of criminal mischief, and theft of a firearm. He was arraigned and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $73,500 cash bail.

Dina Sell, a 36 year old female who resides in the unit block of 3rd Avenue in Claymont, DE, was charged with four counts of burglary in the second degree, three counts of possession of burglar tools, two counts of felony theft, two counts of theft, four counts of conspiracy in the second degree, and three counts of criminal mischief. She was arraigned and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institute after failing to post $57,750 cash bail.  

Robert Babbitt, a 28 year old male who resides in the unit block of 4th Avenue in Claymont, DE, was charged with four counts of burglary in the second degree, two counts of felony theft, theft, two counts of conspiracy in the second degree, and theft of a firearm. He was arraigned and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $73,500 cash bail.

Jessica Eason, 30 year old female who resides in the unit block of 4th Avenue in Claymont, DE, was charged with five counts of burglary in the second degree, three counts of felony theft, theft, two counts of conspiracy in the second degree, criminal mischief and theft of a firearm. She was arraigned and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institute after failing to post $24,600 cash bail. 

Shellissa Sisson, 30 year old female who resides in the unit block of 4th Avenue in Claymont, DE, was charged with five counts of burglary in the second degree, three counts of possession of burglar tools, three counts of felony theft, two counts of theft, three counts of criminal mischief and five counts of conspiracy in the second degree. She was arraigned and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institute after failing to post $99,000 cash bail.
