Officials: Mom threatens to shoot student over child's iPod

Police arrested a mother who is accused of threatening to shoot a student at a South Philadelphia school over her child's iPod Monday morning.

Officials say the incident began around 9:45 a.m. when a student, who brought an iPod to school, was being harassed by other students who were taking the iPod and not returning it.

The student then called his or her mother, who then allegedly came to school and issued the threat.

The woman's identity has not been released.

There were no reports of any injuries.
